Operation of the 5G- i Push Down Välinge de Materia SPC Installation

  1. Preparation: Before starting the installation, make sure that the floor is clean, level and free of any obstacles that may hinder the process. No matter what surface our MATERIASPC rigid SPC floors are installed on: cement, concrete, old ceramic floors, wood… the only requirement is that the surface is solid, smooth and dry.
  2. Exposure to high temperatures may damage the material. It is recommended to store indoors at a controlled temperature between 18 and 29ºC. If this condition is not met, it is recommended to acclimatise the goods in the room to be installed, for a short period of time (24/48h), placed flat and without stacking more than 5 boxes.
  3. Remove the planks from the boxes 12 hours before installation. When installing, mix tiles or planks from different cartons to enhance the natural aesthetics.
  4. The ideal ambient temperature for installation should be between 15 and 26ºC.
  5. Laying the first board: Start in one corner of the room and place the first board diagonally to the wall. Make sure the long end of the board is aligned with the wall. Installation parallel to the longest wall or main light source is recommended to enhance the visual effect.
  6. Starting the click: Once the first board is in place, position the next board at an angle of 20-30 degrees to the board already installed. Align the short end of the second Materia SPC rigid vinyl flooring plank with the long end of the first plank.
  7. Click and drop: Now, push down the second board to make it fit the first one. As you lower the board, you should feel and hear a click that indicates that the boards are properly adjusted. Continue to lower the board until it is completely flat on the ground.
  8. Repeat the process: Continue this click and drop process for the remaining tables. Place each board at an angle, align the ends and then press down until it clicks into place. No additional adhesives or supports. Dust free. No debris. Effortless. No additional adhesives or substrates, no dust and no debris. – Surfaces exceeding 200 sqm or 15m linear will require transition profiles to avoid deformation of the installation.
  9. Adjustments: If necessary, you can make adjustments to the boards using a hammer and a soft tapping block to make sure they are properly fitted and level.

Conditions for 5G- i Push Down Välinge Installation of SPC Floor and Room Matter

  1. In premises with large windows or glazed surfaces and subject to intense sunlight, it will be necessary to use high temperature resistant adhesives (in case the installation requires gluing) and to regulate the temperature of the room (air conditioning) and/or avoid direct radiation on the floor (curtains, awnings, window films…).
  2. SPC materials are resistant to water and moisture but should not be used as a protective barrier against these conditions. The floor on which the SPC flooring is installed must be completely dry and in case of excessive moisture, a 0.15mm poly-plastic barrier must be installed before laying the cushioned underlay or the planks. Concrete floors should always be protected against moisture.
  3. Floors must be firm, stable and completely level. All imperfections such as cracks or holes shall be filled with a suitable quick-drying material. The surface must be free of dirt and debris.
  4. The installation of SPC on ceramic tiles requires pre-levelling with a quick-setting cement-based polymer.
  • Installation on underfloor heating. SPC flooring can be installed over underfloor heating. The following instructions should be followed:
    The maximum soil temperature should not exceed 27°C.
  • The heating system must be run at full capacity and shut down 48 hours before installation or application of the smoothing paste.
  • After the 5G- i Push Down Välinge Installation of Materia SPC, switch on the heating system gradually for one hour.
